LETTER FROM THE PRESIDENT:

Your Illinois Creditors Bar Association continues to grow and offer more and more services to its members.

Founded in 1995 by a small group of consumer collection and subrogation attorneys, the organization began as a consumer collection creditor's bar.  It has now expanded to attorneys practicing in other areas of creditor's rights, such as: commercial collection, creditor bankruptcy, foreclosure and evictions, to name a few.

In 2007 we proudly announced that the Illinois Creditors Bar Association was approved as an accredited Minimum Continuing Legal Education Provider. Providing quality continuing legal education to our members and to other members of the bar across the state is a significant endeavor.  It is our goal to offer frequent, relevant and affordable seminars to our membership and to others.

With membership at over 220 attorneys, we are the largest state based creditor’s bar association in the country. But while being the biggest is nice, the Board of Directors and our Executive Director, Audra Dye, strive to be the best. This should be evident to our membership via the services and programs the Board organizes, drives and supports:

Your Board often goes unheralded. They are some of the finest collection and creditor attorneys not only in the State of Illinois but in the country. They bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to the organization. Without them this organization would not be what it is. I owe each of them my gratitude for the time and effort they put forth to make the ILCBA the best creditor’s bar in the country.
